Is God Not Great!! What a beautiful way to start a day. Donna was hard at it again today preparing our Thanksgiving dinner. I went into Huachuca City to check on some things for the RV and then into Whetstone and had a short visit with Jim & Sharon Robinson. I started talking with Jim about 6 years ago on the Workampers forum. Jim & Sharon stopped full-time RVing about 2 years ago and made Whetstone there Home. They have a real nice place, for sure. Had a real nice but short visit, will make it a point to see them both again. Came back to the RV Park and we walked the Boys then Donna and I went to visit a couple in the park that we have befriended, Ken & Audrey, real nice people. They had just yesterday put in new carpet in their Beaver RV. I then went up to the activity center to help Rob Finnish recovering the screens. We completed the job and now the center will be nice and comfy for the Pizza party Friday.... HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO EVERYONE FORM DONNA AND I BOTH!!!!

Today we had a nice drive up Huachuca Canyon.. We took Cooper and Pacer. Real nice veiws and wonderful weather.. I have been helping a young man who has taken on a roll as a part time work camper here at the RV Park. We have been replacing the covering over the screens on the activity's building. It has been nice working with Rob , sort of breaking things up...

It's been Rainy and colder the last few days and we decided that we wanted to be able to have a fire if we could. Since we are not able to have a wood fire in this RV Park, we were able to find this gas fire pit at the Post Exchange.. Very easy to set up and since we carry an extra propane bottle it works out real well.

Today Donna and I decided to take a hike.. We drove up Garden canyon Rd on the Post about 7.5 miles to Sawmill Canyon trail. We hiked UP Sawmill canyon trail to Sawmill Spring. The trip took us 3 hours one way and was 2 miles with an elevation change of 1125 ft UP. The Garden and Sawmill canyons had Bear warnings out so having Pacer with us was good as he was keeping up with all the different smells. He helped us see one Mule deer for sure as we just watched him and new were to look. Good Trip and another GREAT day in the AZ Desert.... Stopped at commissary on the way back and picked up dinner and extras. Two beautiful Ribeye Steaks and some fresh Squash and onion to grill. Got back to RV and I started the grill and prepared the onion, Donna came in and took over the veggies and I went out to make sure all was OK at the grill. Finished up grilling and had a just wonderful dinner.
Two of the pictures are of Bear Scat. (Do-Do)!! Also Deer season is in so the Orange for safty..

Went to Base Exchange hunting a bulb for one of our flash lights and other things that we for sure could not live without. Wonderful day Clear blue sky's and 75 deg.. light wind most of the day and Perfect. Spoke with a gentleman that is her and from the Fort Smith,AR area. Took care of mail service, Military Police office, and RV Park office before the hike. Full day back to RV at 5:30 PM and feed dogs then walked them. Sat down to do this Blog and my chair came apart. Another day down.... Started out with Pancakes and real Maple Syrup. Next about a 4 mile walk with Pacer. We saw deer and lots of scenery. Got back and found the Max cover for the bathroom fan was catching on the screen. Ended up having to go up on roof pull the max air vent off and fix the screen. Reset the vent with new sealant and screws, all is good with that. While on roof pulled off TV ant. that was flopping up and down when driving as it did not function. Re glued the A/C drain lines also. Off the ROOF.. Set up table and our gas grill in our area and got it ready for tonight's dinner, Chicken Brest, grilled potatoes and steamed veggies. Rode our bikes up to office and asked if we would be allowed to put up or flag pole. (Yes) Back to site to put up flag Pole. Finished pole then cooked Chicken and potatoes, as Donna steamed veggies. Dinner was great, then off to walk the dogs. This is how I think I remembered the Day!!

Great day, started out with Pacer and I taking a nice walk down a back trail. Pacer saw then I was able to see them Two Deer. We got back to RV and all went out for a walk in the park area, Donna, Cooper, Pacer and I, we got to the head of the park and Donna saw and pointed out a large Buck and Doe just in the edge of the park. We were setting up around the site and Donna saw a Doe right in front of the RV, we also kept smelling a Skunk but never saw it.. Donna and I headed into Sierra Vista to scout out the town. We had a good lunch then after great effort we were able to find a car wash as the Jeep was a mess from the trip. We then went to check out the Exchange on Post, bought our bike helmets so we can ride on Post. We got back and feed the dogs then Donna, Pacer and I went out for a trail walk at about 5:00 PM, we had a nice walk and came back picked up Cooper and his cart and walked around the park. As we were getting back by our site we heard two Owls just out by the park area. Then as we got to the RV site Pacer started looking in the brush and we saw two or three more Deer. Donna went in RV and wrote in her journal and I sat out in the lounge just taking in the fresh air and the sites of the Moon and Stars....
