Back on track!

Well here we go with some more of our day trips etc. 11 DEC. White Water Draw. Neat place and a Bird sanctuary. Lots and Lots of Sand Hill Cranes. as well as others. About a 100 mile trip over and back but well worth it.
Next we went to Coronado Cave on 13 DEC. this was a nice day hike and a visit in the cave then back to the park area for a wonderful picnic lunch. We took Pacer only to find out that we should not have. While I was exploring the cave Donna and Pacer kept watch at the opening, that is when a Park Ranger and a group to tour the cave came up . The Park Ranger very nicely told Donna that we should not have Pacer up on the trails. So when I came out of the cave we left and had our picnic...Donna's comment about the hike was the views were well worth the PAIN.
MORE TO COME. P.S. Cooper took the day off due to the extreme hiking conditions..

Dec. 7, 2013 Tombstone and Bisbee, AZ. Drive.

We headed out around 0900, to Benson,AZ on I 10 north of Ft. Huachuca. Stopped and picked up some Rotella Antifreeze for the RV then headed to HWY 80 and started south, just as we got going we saw an SKP Park (Escapees) so we stopped signed in and drove through looking at all the RV's and there areas.
After that stop we were back on the road to Tombstone. Grave Yard at Tombstone...
Interesting visit to the Grave yard but now we are Hungry... We found The Depot Steakhouse Restaurant, looked good so we stopped in. Wonderful lunch, then off to Bisbee to see what type of place it was.
Bisbee is a nice little mining town. The town is alot line Eureka Springs,AR. We drove through the main street and back, then decided that this was going to be a place we would need more time and would make a day of it later....
The days drive was full of beautiful views that are just so hard to show in pictures but these were a few.. We got back to Ft. Huachuca at about 3:00 PM and decided to go up to Blacktail Canyon To walk the Boys. We drove up the canyon about 1.4 miles and then after a walk we headed back to the RV for Feeding time and another walk. some shots of the Canyon..
Another Wonderful day in Arizona's High Desert!!

We had a great Jeep trip as we drove from Ft Huachuca to Parker Lake on the backside of the Huachuca Mountains. The lake was nice and looked like it would be a very busy place in the summers. The drive to the lake was just Beautiful scenery with the mountains and the valleys. We decided that we would take the back roads home and headed south in the direction of the Mexican Boarder.. The road was rough gravel but not to bad. The trip was real nice and we only drove about 30MPH. We was 4 different Boarder Patrol trucks and that sure made us feel better as we soon realized that we had taken a for real back way home!! When we got to the Southern TOP of the Huachuca mountain range we were at Montezuma's Pass......WOW what a gorgeous View from that pass. 6575' elevation. WE had some wonderful views of the mountain ranges on the Mexican boarder. Donna spotted a NICE Buck on the way down and we backed up and were able to see it real well. Donna took pictures but I think she had BUCK fever.... I will post one but it is shaky. We drove just over 80 miles and had another great day in The Southern Arizona High Mountain Desert!
